It has nothing to do with root... ring 0 is kernel space and an entirely different topic. Kernel space is priviledged and protected space to keep unstable code from crashing the system... unfortunately, M$ wants to speed things up by removing the barriers between the apps and the kernel, hence making the system susceptible to crashes if the apps aren't
