If you use Fedora and have waited to see how the new version works before you upgrade your 8 version to the new 9 one you can probably feel free to install it by now.
There are some problems that I wasn’t the only one experiencing. If you use X you might find it incompatible, if. I read on Balbir’s blog similar problems and even more.
Now that it is part of the Firefox 3 bundle it is hard to avoid but just be sure that your gear is supported by the new version. At least the NVIDIA problem is solved by now as their drivers are already supporting the new Fedora.
I think that one of the things that I like so much in the Linux and open source world is that it is fluid and things can changes really fast, problems are solved, solutions are found and each difficulty is merely a challenge to overcome.
