Hello, does anybody know thw frame buffer base address for the ATI-Radeon8500/LE ?

I'd like to watch TV as before (VoodooBanshee), but v4l-conf complains about: #WARNING: #couldn't find framebuffer base address, try #manual configuration ('v4l-conf -a <addr>'

Any suggestions?

Manythanx...

'lspci -v' and look for the Radeon8500 entry. It'll tell you something like:

Memory at f0000000 (32-bit, prefetchable)

The address in that line (in my example f0000000 hex) is what you're after, I believe.

Be sure to read 'man v4l-conf' first, though. It should be autodetecting the address.

Thank You for that. But, now I found out, I'd better read the whole error message. Actually v4l-conf finds no DGA mode extention. The latest drivers (fglrx.o) from ATI don't support it, or at least I cannot find it.
