Platform Sound-OFF!

I'm going to do a little poll of my own here.

I'll start off.

Hardware,

Server, Pentium III 500 Mhz with 768mb of ram and 5 20 gig ultra 66's in Raid 5.

Workstation/Thin Client server, Pentium III 500 Mhz with 1 gig of ram and one 80 Gig ultra harddrive.

Thin Clients, 133 mhz Pentium with 32 megs and 4 gig drive, 486-75 with 12 megs of ram and a 750 mb hard drive.

Remote server, Pentium III 750 Mhz with 128 Mb of ram and 40 gig hard drive...

Toshiba 486-75 laptop with 4 megs of ram. Console only!

OS on all is Debian Woody.

2 other Windows boxes for family members.

I'm just curious how many Intel, AMD, PPC, UltraSparc, and what have you we have here.

Maybe somebody will have Amiga running or some other exotic Motorola machine. Make sure and give OS if your going to participate.

OSs: Win2K, WinXP Pro. Next time I get around to housekeeping I'll see about sticking a Linux partition on there to play around with.

As for my system at work? It's a POS Gateway that they got 'cos it was cheap. Oh well

Oh yeah... I assume we're not including handhelds, consoles, PVRs or anything like that?

If so, I'm running a TiVo with 96Gb hard drive space, ethernet, and Linux. ... and you can include the XBox.

... now if only I can get enough time to get cracking on MPEG2 stream transcoding, I'll be set
