Hey, all;

I'm having an issue getting the openldap server that I installed via rpms working with the bdb database. I have the Berkely rpm installed as well. I can run the slapd -d 68 with the original 'database ldbm' and it works. When I change the one line to 'database bdb', I get an invalid database - not supported something or other.

I even downloaded the rpm source and recompiled with

I'm not running OpenLDAP on Linux, but from a tip someone on another newsgroup gave me (different issue): turn up logging on slapd (I tried 1023) to get some detailed output.

You didn't mention what versions of ldap or berkeley db
