Maybe someone else can ferret out some glaring flaws in the article.

They don't use good socket code on Win2K. While the API will work with minimal changes, the way they did it is not optimal for Windows.

Sorry to ask, but what is the difference between programming for Win2k and say Win9.x?? I like to know what the difference is. So far I like solaris 8, but I also like to hear about the other

Not Unicode, no security whatsoever, are the two things that comes to mind first. You can't lock parts of files. You can't use CloseFile() on sockets handles.

There are a lot more, I'll think about it and add them, if I'll remember.
