Microsoft Distributes Virus

This has GOT to be the icing on the cake...

I like the fact that they put the virus on VISUAL STUDIO .NOT

Yanno, people still don't get the news that we techies do. As an IT person, I feel my job is to inform others without any bias (snicker) to make a better decision on their purchasing for software or hardware.

As a system admin, I refuse to let my network fall victim to mistakes that seem to happen over and over with a company that has attained illegal market share simply because the interface looks pretty.

Now the hypothetical question is this: what if Microsoft distributed this mistake to normal consumers and business customers instead of keeping it within their dev (HAH!) teams?

I give credit where credit is due...even the most computer-unfriendly person can reinvent the wheel of Nimda distribution if they don't know what they're doing.

It is just so typical of MS. Once again they are trying to dominate yet another market.

Kind of makes a mockery of their trustworthy campaign.

Who does it? Gates or Balmer? How do they cover up the screems (well if its Bill the recipient probably never felt a thing).

If you've ever used Visual Source$afe, you'll realize that it's likely they don't know which developer checked in the offending code!

I suspect Sweaty Balmer has the honors of course.
