More of the same unstable, one dimmensional, flat looking fuzzy crap. Gnome is a lead bellie.

OMG! I normally don't reply to idiots, but here goes... First off, before you start popping off about anything being cartoonish, I'd get a little introspective about your own choice in OS - WinXP. XP has absolutely has got to have the most over-the-top, childish-looking, Fisher-Price looking GUI I've ever seen. And it's real-estate hogging to boot. And yet you see fit to criticize GNOME? Are you some kind of hypocrite? You honestly think XP has a professional-looking GUI? I'd show you professional-looking. Get yer ass on over to www.apple.com, and check out what a REAL GUI looks like.

Then use KDE. You do have a choice you know!

Oh. Perhaps *you* don't.

um...how would you know. By your own account your only Linux OS use was with Lindows and now by your own account that has ended...did you reinstall Lindows...download Gnome 2.0...and by some miracle install that on Lindows?

Get with the program man...you're suppose to switch online persona every two days or so...so you look half way believable.

The poster defines Gnome as

- 'unstable', which in the context is utterly meaningless, because we do not know what this means. Does it mean Gnome crashes? And if so, how often? Maybe it means Gnome behave unpredictably. Basically, as said here, the term 'unstable' is simply a personal opnion or even a prejudice.

- 'one dimmensional' (note the obligatory spelling error) is false. Gnome does _not_ display as a line on your screen.

- 'flat looking fuzzy crap' is interesting, because, if Gnome were to be fuzzy, how could the troll tell it was flat looking? Or indeed that it was crap?

- 'a lead bellie'. I don't know what that is.

In reality, Gnome will present itself crisp and clear (provided one displays it on a properly working monitor) to the user and while the default look and feel is intended to please as many users as possible (and can therefore be somewhat lacking in originality), just about any aspect of Gnome can be tuned and tweaked by the user in a graphical and interactive way to make your desktop look the way you want it to be. Even as a 'lead bellie' (an idea for a theme, perchance?).

(I thought I'd give an example of how I think troll posts could be reacted to. Also note the [T] tag: If used consequently, those that don't like to participate in this kind of thread, can safely killfile it)
