Greetings,

I know how to toggle the full-screen mode on and off, but I am curious how to set the display size of mplayer when it is not in full-screen mode.

Like any most other windowed apps. Just grab the corner using the mouse, hold button down and resize to your desire.

The -xy option specifies a multiple of the video's actual size to scale to. If it dosen't work, add -zoom.
